Dear Mr Chris,

I'm Li Hua, president of the Student Union. I feel greatly honored to express our warm welcome to you on behalf of our school. You can’t imagine how excited I am to be at your service during your stay here. Now I’m writing to share some detailed arrangements.

As scheduled， the opening ceremony of our school Art Festival will be held next Saturday morning, during which our headmaster is to deliver a speech and wish you a happy time here. Then follow some excellent performances given by students, which surely won’t make you disappointed.  In the afternoon, you will watch an exciting basketball match between students and teachers. Food Safety Issues

  Nowadays, unsafe food can be found in the market now and then, which has aroused a lot of concern, making it one of the hottest topics.（引出话题)

As the saying goes, Man cannot live without food. Food plays a very important role in our daily life. Therefore, unsafe food is severely harmful to our health. What’s worse, it’ll even threaten our lives in the long term.(要点1. 不安全食品的危害）

It’s high time we took effective measures to deal with the problem. For one thing, strict laws should be passed to punish the illegal producers and sellers. For another thing, it’s recommended that the government should strengthen the supervision of all aspects of food. What’s more, it is necessary to raise people’s awareness of food safety through media.
